I maintain a busy studio at The Community Music School/Stevens Center, North Carolina School of the Arts and Forsyth Country Day School. While I teach all levels of students, some of my former students have progressed to a professional level of touring or achieved Doctoral degrees in music and teach at the college level. My main focus is to develop young music students to realize their potential with their instrument, whether it be modern music of today, or enhancing their playing at high school level jazz band. I stress music reading and theory, with a concentration on ensemble playing and improvisation. This applies to guitar and bass students. Some of the college level courses that I teach include class lessons in theory/harmony and computer music applications. I teach private lessons throughout the Triad area, as well as at my home studio.
